My wife Marian and I run a successful wedding photography business in Florida with the notion that today’s bride is looking for real moments by real photojournalists. This was so much fun! I have not shot a quinceanera in a few years so when my friend Omar called to see if I was available, I jumped at the opportunity. I am a big fan of culture and family and such an event is perfect for this. Yaririan is such a sweet girl and she didn’t flinch a single time as I followed her close for the entire day. The day was rich as were the moments.

OK, so this one was more than fun. It was a blast! Using this super fun couple’s love of music, photography, skating etc, we descended on downtown Gainesville and just went at it with some loose and candid photography. I had known Rebekah from her days at the Gainesville Sun but when I met her and Mike together I knew it was just the kind of engagement shoot that Marian and I really have fun with.

These super friendly love birds wanted to get a taste of the “U” life in their engagement photos…..UM that is…..Hurricane style. So it was a Miami destination shoot which we were quite happy about. Speaking of hurricane, there was some gale force winds blowing at the 8th wonder of the world in Miami….Vizcaya. When you have a chance to shoot in paradise you don’t let a little wind get in the way. We captured some great portraits and headed over to “Da U” at dusk for a little stroll down memory lane at the law school. I especially enjoyed sneaking in the library, during finals studying, for some uber quiet smooches.

What a great day this was and what a fun loving group of people. The weather was bliss which is just perfect for such a great venue. This wedding shows the Thomas Center at its best. I am especially pleased with a new lighting technique I tried for the reception.
We were enamored with Paula and Charlotte when we met at the beginning of the year and could not wait for the big day to come around. They did not disappoint! Charlotte looked absolutely stunning and Paul surprised everybody with a rendition of “Grenade.” It was one that we hated to leave at the end!
Of course we loved working with amazing vendors like Wayne’s World, Celebrations Catering, Joan Prange Florist, 6th Street Station and everyone else that we are forgetting.

So happy to share this collection of moments from the Gainesville wedding of such a special couple. Jeremy and Sarah were so easy going and seemed like they were just ready to start loving each other every day. Really made shooting their big day so easy as the moments just flowed naturally. That is so critical when your a photojournalist.
Always love the Baughman Center and the Thomas Center as venues.

Where oh where to begin. What a cutie pie! Brock was so much fun and the tallest infant I have ever seen.
Brian and Kourtney were one of our favorite all time bride and grooms. They were both mascots for the Gators (you may know a little about these mascots!). Anywhoo, we were thrilled when they shared the good news about their bundle of joy.
So blessed to have the opportunity to sharpen our infant photography skills because we have at least 5 clients who are very pregnant or just recently downloaded. Needless to say, we are hoping to be all about the infants in the coming months! We thrive on documenting historic moments and nothing is more historic than the beginning of a new life.

What a beautiful day and a beautiful couple. We have truly loved this couple all the way through and their big day was a big reflection of their love for each other as well as friends and family.
Always love working at the Baughman Center and have really grown to love Villa East as one one of the best reception destinations in town. Also, Joan Prange is a floral rock star and showed that once again.
