Wedding- Tim and Sarah (Rob)

What a perfect couple these two are. Honestly I spent half the day wondering how 2 sets of parents could raise such charming, devoted and truly caring people. If they could only bottle that kind of parenting skill.

This was such a great event, very early but great. I don’t often see breakfast served at a reception but this meant a rare chance to shoot in morning light (my favorite). The ceremony was at Creekside Church and the reception was at the Haile Plantation Country Club. The amazing Allison Middleton did her usual magic and remains one of my all time favorite wedding coordinators. It’s no surprise that I get great images when we work together.

I love the range of emotions in these frames. Capturing moments is what I cherish the most about my job and this day was full of them.

Lots of football ties here as Tim was a Gator on the 2006 championship team and his dad is the head coach at The Citadel (I shot that game last year link). Sarah’s dad is a former Gator and head coach of Liberty University. What a match.

Wedding- Tim and Sarah (Marian)

Marian was a godsend for me at this wedding as I was a bit under the weather. Nothing debilitating but she really stepped up so we did not skip a beat. Really happy with her selection of moments and grateful that I have the perfect partner.

I have a recipe in Gainesville Magazine

OK so I keep hearing people talk about me and my bison burger and the story we ran in Gainesville Magazine. As many of you know, I LOVE to cook. For me it is a way to express myself creatively much like I do with a camera. The benefit of cooking is I get to eat the finished masterpiece.

When we were planning this current issue of the magazine I suggested we do “burgers” for the food section. I explained the new healthy bison burger I have been making at home and my editor asked me to write a sidebar to go with the main story. They are yummy!

The magazine just hit the streets and I have had at least 20 people say they have tried or will try the recipe. Great feedback! Here is a photo and please checkout the story in the June edition on newsstands now.

Marian a WPJA member!

Looks like I have a little competition in the house. Marian was recently accepted as an exclusive member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (I have been a member for 3 years). It is a huge honor as they scrutinize each potential member and only accept those who uphold the highest ethics and standards when it comes to real photojournalism.

It has been extremely rewarding to watch her grow with her photography over the years. Beyond that, to share your passion with the one you love is just amazing. We always hear how great we work together so we must be doing something right.

Engagement- Hunter and Brittany

This awesome shoot was a mix of 2 exciting personalities along with a reprieve from the sweltering summer heat. No rain either!

Marian and I were delighted in their willingness to try anything while also making it their own in each shot. We could have done this shoot at a garbage dump and they still would have looked great.

Cannot wait till the big day next month!

Wedding- Wes and Janeen (Rob)

Iran Is Not the Problem divx Another great wedding here to share (this year has been amazing!!). Wes and Janeen, the jet-setting, fun loving, bad car luck having couple flew in from Los Angeles for this bash at Sweetwater Branch Inn in Gainesville 2 weeks ago.

Wes is film maker and Janeen a student and all I can say is they are fun, fun, fun. Weather was perfect and the crowd was hopping. It was a great day for this event.

Gotta throw out some love to Prange’s Florist, Jay’s Entertainment and all the other vendors who made the day so special. There are some kick-butt moments in this selection of photos and I cannot wait to update the portfolio and website with some of these gems.

Wedding- Wes and Janeen (Marian)

Marian was so excited about this couple as we hit it off extremely well at the initial consultation. We did not do an engagement session so this was the first chance we had to shoot. With the guys and gals being in separate houses it was great to be able to do the tag-team approach for “getting ready” shots.
