Engagement- Emily and Aaron

I always find it more fun to work with someone I know, especially a fellow photojournalist. Emily Harris is a current wedding photographer from South Florida who graduated from UF and worked with me at one point at the Gainesville Sun. When she contacted me about the upcoming wedding with her beau Aaron, I was more than excited for the opportunity. We hit the stadium the day after the Arkansas game and went for a round of fun shots for their 10-10-10 wedding. Such a great couple and Marian and I are excited for the big day.

Engagement- Kelly and Javier

With the cooler weather finally pushing south we are getting into engagement shoot season. Kelly and Javier, who are getting married next month in Gainesville, were one of our first for the season. This turned more into a family shoot with their two wonderful children. We had some fun at their new home which should be finished by the end of the year before heading to Kanapaha Park to get some fun posed and candid images of the family. We had a blast and cannot wait till the big day.

Football- Gators vs Razorbacks

OK, I get the bad blogger of the month award. End of summer is our “off” season for weddings but we are back on track this weekend with a great event along with many engagement shoots we are working on. Exciting stuff!

Just to update, I have been teaching my class at UF and we are already past the halfway point. It has been great and my students are noticeably improving so that makes it all worth it. We are closing on our home in Hawthorne next week and closing on a new, much bigger home in Gainesville. We are on cloud nine because it will have an expansive office and studio. Much more to come later.

As far as the game, it was not pretty at all. Mistakes all over the field. That being said, UF pulled one out that they should have lost. The outcome could have been much worse but I will predict this being the wake up call that gets the team fired up for the rest of the season.

Only time will tell.
