Wedding- Jon and Nancy (Rob)

I resist starting with a blog post stating that this is a “special” event because they all are. Our clients ALL mean the world to us.

So, I humbly say this event was special.

Jon is a pastor at the church Marian and I are so involved with and Nancy is much more than just a beautiful bride. Looking at these images, when you get past the fun, playfulness, emotion and excitement that is certainly playing out in each frame, you find something deeper. In fact, our senior pastor, who obviously performed the ceremony, did a sermon about spiritual joy. It was pretty obvious to me that being only a week removed from this event he was speaking to what we in attendance all felt. Something different, something special.

If I could offer a visual representation of spiritual joy it would be what you see below. God meant for us to be happy and this is what that looks like, when we put him first in our hearts.

So happy that Jon and Nancy chose us for this big day and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Such a blessing.

Enjoy!!

I know this one meant a great deal for Marian as well. She really delivered a home run with her coverage and I feel like she got the best image of the wedding with the first one down here. Love the guys goofing it up as they get ready. Really love all of these. Hope you agree.

Enjoy!!

Wedding- Matt and Tonya (Rob)

Cannot wait to share this one! We had this one circled on the calender ever since their engagement session where we could not leave without “one more pose.” Well, this time it was about the moments and emotion and all the other elements that make up our coverage. It was amazing!

Before I go any further, a huge congrats are in order for both of them because……they both became doctors the same week they were married. Seriously, how cool is that. We love doctors and their friends. Not because of the obvious reasons but because you never know when you will end up on their table with scalpel in hand……but I digress.

It was actually our first chance to work at the new Villa East. Had done many at its former self, Savannah Grande but this was really impressive. It was gone from extremely dated to wayyyy cool. Definitely a thumbs up to those considering getting married there.

Less talk more photos…

Enjoy!!

I am especially happy with Marian’s work at this event as she had some really exceptional moments. We truly loved this couple, this event and their wedding day. They are a Hall of Fame type couple and so much fun to work with.

Wedding- Lauren and Jordan (Rob)

We had such a great time in Cedar Key covering the wedding for this amazing couple. Such a genuine and visible love.

Last year we made a huge push to stick closer to Gainesville for events so we could be closer to our kids but getting away to Cedar Key, even for a day, felt like one of the destination weddings we have grown accustomed to covering. Love the ocean, vibe, people and culture. My only regret was that the day did last even longer.

The added treat was getting to work with our beloved friend Angela Renick. It was not too long ago that she was the top wedding planner in the region before deciding to spend more time with her family and a new job in ministry. She is truly our hero. It was awesome to work with her again.

On to the pictures.

Emjoy!!

My first quinceanara

As the title suggests…..I have never shot a quinceanara. Not that I never wanted to, just never came up. In this case it was my pastor’s daughter, Samara. Normally my approach would have been different. You know, getting ready and the build up. In this case I was trying to do something nice for this sweet girl who is also a friend of my daughter. I really only spent a couple hours getting candid shots. Love that it was at my church and was dedicated to Jesus. I love being able to serve.

Enjoy!

Wedding- Nathan and Fe (Rob)

Sometimes Sunday weddings are just perfect as is the case with this elegantly planned event. Had it been the day before it would have been a mud fest because it rained all day. This couple was blessed with a crisp and surprisingly cool Sunday with blue skies ans severe clear. The kind of day that is just perfect for an outdoor shindig.

Nathan and Fe were a blast to work with and so much fun. One of my favorite parts is when the groomsman threw down for a a sprint outside their cottage before the wedding and then hoisted Nathan above their shoulders. Never seen that before but it was a photojournalists dream.

As usual, Sweetwater Branch was picture perfect. Food was awesome and the staff was exceptionally kind.

All these great ingredients lead to great images.

Enjoy!!

She always beats me in the service to the bride and groom category…totally the utility wedding pro/go to player. Always nails some great moments as well.

Enjoy!

Wedding- Joe and Michelle (Rob)

A beautiful day at the Thomas Center with an amazing couple like Joe and Michelle and you can get a supersized, superfun post like this. Joe is a great photographer in his own right so it was such an honor to be chosen as their photographer. Michelle is such a warm and open person to be around and that comes through in this collection of moments. We had the pleasure of working with the amazing coordinator duo of Amy and Rebecca from Adore who helped make it a perfect day.

So happy I am just going to shut up and share these images.

Enjoy!!
