Wedding- Katie and John (Rob)
May 7, 2010 – 9:29 pm
So glad this couple found us! We felt so at home with Katie, John and everyone else involved. It was an amazing event.
We had just booked it a few weeks before so really had no idea until we talked during the consultation. When I saw her itinerary was done in military time I knew this was gonna be well planned and it was indeed.
The ceremony was at the Baughman Center and the reception was at Sweetwater Branch Inn. I lost track a long time ago with how many events we have done as both locations but they never let us down. Love them both every time.
Enjoy!!

Here is a great selection from Marian. As you can see she had a great wedding but I am guessing she will be remembered most for cleaning soot that had gotten on the wedding gown from a fireplace. Not sure what tools she keeps in that magic pouch of hers but when I saw the stain, I thought there was no way she could fix it. Well I was wrong again.
Enjoy!!

Very happy to present this body of work. Actually it is just a snapshot to an amazing wedding we did on the eve of Easter at Marywood Retreat in Jacksonville. This was extra special in that we photographed the bride’s sister’s wedding a year ago and have grown quite fond of the Dronkers family.
This couple was super cool as we discovered during the great engagement shoot last year. They have awesome personalities and have so much fun around one another. Every couple should take lessons from them! We were just grateful to spend the day documenting this joyous occasion.
Could not be happier with the results as this was a signature event for us. Jacksonville Wedding Photographer.
Enjoy

Spring Break Vacation 2010
April 13, 2010 – 9:52 am
Just wanted to share some of the images from our vacation to Asheville, NC last week for Spring Break. We stayed on top of a mountain in a beautiful home (courtesy of former client Debbie Van Hise). We let our daughter Kathleen bring a friend, Page, who is a budding photographer and was so energetic with her camera that she made me look like a slacker. Ryan had a crush on her but not to sure about that ten year age gap. It was very cute as he kept trying to woo her. Must of got that from his dad! Anyways, we had lots of fun navigating the winding roads and changes in altitude, went to Carowinds Theme Park, tried some gem mining, hiked to some waterfalls and just overall relaxed. I REALLY NEEDED IT!. That being said, we are back and I am chopping at the bit to get busy on some new projects!
Enjoy!!
Wedding- Jason and Natalie (Rob)
April 5, 2010 – 10:05 am
I am posting this blog from atop Glade Mountain in North Carolina where we are spending a week’s vacation. The amazing home we are staying in is one of our favorite past clients, the Van Hise family. Nothing like waking up to the sun cresting over a mountain and into your bedroom.
The beautiful surroundings reminds me of Jason and Natalie’s wedding at Steinhatchee Landing Resort….truly breathtaking. I could do every wedding there as they have everything you could ever ask for.
This couple (and their awesome bridal party) were so easy to work with. We even snuck in somebody’s docked boat (sshhh) for portraits. It was a great time with real people and that always makes for great images.
Enjoy!!

This is the first time I have had the opportunity to chime in on the blog.
I really enjoyed working with Natalie and Jason. I got to use some of my emergency kit, found new uses for some of my tools, and realized that even the people who HATE being photographed can eventually come around. lol Yes I mean you Mom!
We really had a great time and felt right at home with this group!
Engagement- Mark and Kristin
April 2, 2010 – 1:39 am
Happy to present a selection of images from this happy couple’s engagement shoot. Actually it was two shoots, which we rarely do, because our first attempt was amidst winds that must have been gusting to about 40mph. Not good for the hair! That being said, I think we got some of our best shots that day but still had a chance under normal circumstances (and great light!).
It is awesome in that we have really gotten to know Mark and Kristin and that will really make the big day in October that much more enjoyable.
Speaking of enjoyable……..enjoy!!!!

For us, this was a wedding for the ages. It had all the elements that make for great photojournalism- amazing couple and families, gorgeous light, tons of emotions and spontaneous moments, cozy country church, classy reception hall and once again….an awesome couple.
This is a large post to show all the great moments we were able to capture. Felt like kid in a candy store all day catching moments all around. We knew after the great engagement session we had that this was going to be great but you can never count on so many things coming together.
For me this is a great start for our wedding season and I cannot wait till the next event……oh that starts in about 12 hours. Better shut up now.
Enjoy!!
